Robust, durable and very attractive, the Shire Avesbury 2.4m x 2.4m Log Cabin Summerhouse (19mm) not only offers you the perfect sheltered space in which to relax during the summer months, it provides secure, weatherproof, year-round garden storage too. This log cabin is expertly built in Great Britain from 19mm interlocking, high-grade pine boards, which makes the cladding more than 50% thicker than most other summer houses. The floor and roof are both made from superior 12mm tongue and groove. The former will easily withstand regular footfall and is perfectly equipped to house your heavier garden furniture. It comes with pressure-treated bearers for additional support and to prevent ground moisture from causing rot. The apex roof is fitted with a weatherproof felt cover to ensure you receive complete protection from the elements. With the addition of 2 diamond-shaped finials, it nicely rounds off the summerhouse’s smart, attractive appearance. You can gain easy access to the interior through a half-glazed door, which is fitted with a key-operated lock, so rest assured that your expensive items will remain safe from unwanted attention.Once inside, you’ll find that the additional opening window provides plenty of natural light and welcome ventilation while you’re relaxing inside. In keeping with the summer house’s traditional premium build, the windows are made from real glass. You can position the opener either side of the door – the choice is entirely yours. Both the door and window are expertly built using traditional, skilled joinery techniques, so are completely weatherproof and never present a weak spot in a storm. This log cabin is made exclusively from FSC®-certified timber, which is the only wood-certification scheme endorsed by all of the major environmental charities. It is supplied to you untreated and with a 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee. You should coat the garden building in a high-quality wood preservative upon assembly and annually, thereafter, to guard against rot and fungal decay.
