Shire Marlborough 3.6m x 2.4m Log Cabin Summerhouse (28mm) by Buy Sheds Direct

If you can’t decide whether to buy a log cabin or summerhouse, why not choose the Shire Marlborough 3.6m x 2.4m Log Cabin Summerhouse (28mm)? This garden building boasts the charm of a summerhouse and weather resistance of a log cabin, so removes any tricky choices by offering you the best of both worlds.A British-Built Log CabinThis garden cabin is expertly built in Great Britain, from 28mm Northern European pine logs, so is robust, weathertight, and will become a much-loved feature of your garden for decades to come. The floor and roof are both constructed from premium 14mm tongue and groove. The former is supported by pressure-treated bearers, which improve air circulation underneath this key area and provide a further layer of protection against rot-causing ground moisture. The latter comes with an eye-catching reverse apex design and is fitted with a superior mineral-felt cover to ensure you enjoy complete weatherproof protection. The wood used to make this log cabin is FSC® certified, which is the world’s most trusted mark for sustainable forestry.Doors and WindowYou can gain easy access to the garden room via glazed double doors, which can be secured by a key-operated lock. The large, opening window provides additional natural light and allows you to ventilate the interior, whenever it’s required. All of the glazing is made from toughened glass, ideal for a busy, family-orientated garden. The doors and window are both built using the mortise and tenon joinery technique, for stronger, longer-lasting connections. They are fitted with draught excluders too, for enhanced insulation.Log Cabin Installation and Treatment AdviceThis log cabin is supplied untreated, with a 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee and clear assembly instructions. You should install it on a solid, level base and treat the wood with a high-quality preservative upon assembly. As the garden building’s total height is 2.5m, planning permission is not required. You should apply further treatment to the wood on an annual basis, to maintain effective levels of protection. Alternatively, to customise your garden cabin, apply coloured wood preservative instead.Free Delivery and Choice of SizesFree delivery is available to most UK postcodes.
